This is a calming relaxing piece of music made in response to the crazy times we are living in. I hope it brings you a little peace.
Om Mani Peme Hum 1hr version
This is a slightly different version of the other Om mani peme hum I did a while ago. I changed a part of it so it is purely om mani peme hum and doubled the length of it. I also added a couple of vocal tracks from River and Reiner.
Hope
With the world going crazy over Coronovirus I decided to sit in a beautiful spot under a blossoming plum tree on a lovely sunny spring morning and play this piece of ‘Everything is going to be Ok’ music.
Vajrasatva Mantra
This is the vajrasatva mantra. It has been used for centuries to purify negative karma. The person wishing to clear negative karma would contemplate their day and recall positive and negative actions and speach. They would rejoice at their positive actions but regret the negative ones and with this power of regret apply the remedy of repeating the mantra whilst visualising Vajrasatva above their heads pouring down cleansing white light. This light would cleanse the body and mind completely of all negaitve karma. Carried out on a daily basis this is a very powerful practic that can help us make our lives more conscious and help us to become more kind and compassionate people. As the mantra has been repeated billions of times there is a powerful energy field in the collctive unconscious that we can tap into to assist us purifying ourselves.
Medicine Buddha Mantra
This is the Medicine Buddha Mantra. It invokes the energy of healing from illness and the great illness of ignorance.
The words of the mantra are…
Tayata Om Bekanze Bekanze Maha Bekanze Raja Samugate Soha
Do away with illness. Do away with illness. Do away with the great illness of the ignorance of our True Nature
Om mani peme hum
The short Mantra of the Bodhisatva Avoloketesvara, Om mani Peme Hum or Om Mani Padme Hum, has been recited for centuries and carries the vibration of compassion of the Buddhas. By reciting it we connect to that energy field. It is said that the six syllables of this mantra contain all the teachings of the Buddhas.
As we listen we can imagine ourselves being cleansed by the white light of Chenrezig and the vibration of the mantra, and him dissolving into us and then sending that light of compassion of kindness out to all beings so that all beings become liberated from suffering.
By reciting it and connecting with that energy we can empower the energy of compassion within ourselves so that we can become more kind and compassionate. We have added an English Mantra I am the Ebb, I am the flow, I am all life letting go. We hope you enjoy it and find benefit from this music
Green Tara Mantra
The Green Tara Mantra – Om Tare Tutare Ture Soha, is from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Green Tara is the embodiment of compassion in action. The mantra has been used for centuries and is charged with this energy, by hearing it or repeating it we tap into that collective energy field which is compassion, caring, the mother principle. Her tenderness reaches us where ever we are and we feel her blessing green light cleansing, purifying us and comforting us. This in turn inspires us to be more compassionate and kind in our lives and we pray that her light goes out to bless all those who are suffering throughout the universe. In the understanding that we are Tara all is Tara everything, every sound, every thought and that there is no Tara, no self, all is emptiness. May all beings be happy
Here
This piece was recorded live next to a mountain stream and mastered in the studio. The idea was to capture the energy of the magical place with the sun streaming in through the tree canopy above and the stream gently rushing by. Using a repetitive chord sequence to induce a relaxed yet concentrated state in the listener it prompts us to be here fully with whatever is going on.
Being
This is another piece in my Magical Places videos. Due to bad weather I stayed at home and created this calming, Ambient piece of music by the fire. It creates a warm positive relaxed atmosphere that helps us remember that while things might sometimes look bad and times might be tough we can always relax into the present moment and enjoy what we have.
The backbone of the music is a simple chord sequence repeated throughout on the guitar with a violin improvisation over the top.
Free
Using a simple repetitive form this piece is relaxing to listen to and helps induce a trance like state, a little like a mantra it repeats itself whilst the violin soars and sometimes dips into the fabric of the music. This piece feels like it’s about freedom but also about the restrictions we have in life.
