I’ve been thinking about how anxious people must be feeling right now. I have made a short meditation for anxiety relief, reminding us that even though it might not seem so, believing that ‘Everything is happening perfectly’ is really helpful against fear and anxiety.
We have lot to learn from cats right now! They are so calm and content whenever they find a warm spot to curl up in. Recently I was requested to make an ode to a cat! I thought the cat should star in this piece, so I recorded our cat Pema purring, added some binaural beats and a violin line, thought of the profoundly calm nature of cats and here it is.
I hope you like it and it helps you keep as calm as a cat during these strange times!
Binaural beats are best listened to with headphones or a good stereo set up, as different tones are played into each ear, giving a resulting third tone in the head which, in this case 10Hz, is supposed to help with a general feeling of well being and calm. I would keep the volume very low and I recommend lying down (like a cat!) for this one and being very still allowing the sound to wash over you forgetting all your cares for half an hour.
This is a very calming piece of music that is great to help with sleeping, stress and deep relaxation. It contains the sound of Flowing water, Violin and Binaural beats that create a beat of 7.83Hz which is the Schumann resonance of the earth. It is best listened to with headphones lying down. I find it makes me feel a part of the earth and I feel like I am dissolving into the oneness when listeing. Be interested to know what it does for you.
A binaural beat is created when 2 different tones are played in each ear. The difference in frequency creates a beat, a third tone inside the head. In this piece I have used a frequency difference of 7.83Hz which is the Schumann resonance of the earth. These frequencies directly affect the brain when listened to and have particular effects depending on the frequency chosen. For 7.83 Hz the effects are grounding and healing.
This is a deep piece of music based on the sound of a stream with birds chirping and a drone that creates binaural beats, for the full effect it is best listened to with headphones or proper stereo configuration. After 2 minutes the beat reaches 4Hz which is a frequency that helps with deep meditation and relaxation. I have played a violin line over the drone using influences from middle eastern scales and lots of overtones created on the violin.
This is a slightly different version of the other Om mani peme hum I did a while ago. I changed a part of it so it is purely om mani peme hum and doubled the length of it. I also added a couple of vocal tracks from River and Reiner.
With the world going crazy over Coronovirus I decided to sit in a beautiful spot under a blossoming plum tree on a lovely sunny spring morning and play this piece of ‘Everything is going to be Ok’ music.
This is the vajrasatva mantra. It has been used for centuries to purify negative karma. The person wishing to clear negative karma would contemplate their day and recall positive and negative actions and speach. They would rejoice at their positive actions but regret the negative ones and with this power of regret apply the remedy of repeating the mantra whilst visualising Vajrasatva above their heads pouring down cleansing white light. This light would cleanse the body and mind completely of all negaitve karma. Carried out on a daily basis this is a very powerful practic that can help us make our lives more conscious and help us to become more kind and compassionate people. As the mantra has been repeated billions of times there is a powerful energy field in the collctive unconscious that we can tap into to assist us purifying ourselves.
The short Mantra of the Bodhisatva Avoloketesvara, Om mani Peme Hum or Om Mani Padme Hum, has been recited for centuries and carries the vibration of compassion of the Buddhas. By reciting it we connect to that energy field. It is said that the six syllables of this mantra contain all the teachings of the Buddhas.
As we listen we can imagine ourselves being cleansed by the white light of Chenrezig and the vibration of the mantra, and him dissolving into us and then sending that light of compassion of kindness out to all beings so that all beings become liberated from suffering.
By reciting it and connecting with that energy we can empower the energy of compassion within ourselves so that we can become more kind and compassionate. We have added an English Mantra I am the Ebb, I am the flow, I am all life letting go. We hope you enjoy it and find benefit from this music
